UK car production numbers have dropped to mid 1950's levels when not so many people could afford to buy one
Looks like there will be a US EU subsidy war to attract manufacturers especially batteries. US only so far but EU seriously thinking about it.
Finally one of the aspects for joining the EU has cropped up. Both have way more fiscal power than us.
