Brick / Metro Tiling - Where to centre tile above

Hi,

Just about to do some brick tiling. When you centre the first tile on the row above, do you centre it on the grout line or at the edge of the tile below?

So does the middle of the tile above go inline with the grout line or the edge of tile

Take into account the size of the tiles and whether they are flat or bowed. If bowed then you might want a 1/3rd stagger to minimise lippage.
