Bristan 8.5 electric shower problem

Hi all

Has anybody any suggestions regarding a new Bristan 8.5 mains fed electric shower I can get cold water through the unit but it wont switch on or off using the front button and the water is cold before I get back on to my supplier I am just checking it is not something I have done when fitting it

Are you getting water flow through the shower head, even though the controls at the unit do not indicate on/off?

I have been in touch with the supplier and they have agreed to supply me with a new unit but thanks for getting back to me anyway many thanks
