British Gas - not allowed to leave old parts on site?

That may be true Aulus, but when you pull a childs tooth, do you let them keep it for under the pillow for the fairies. 8)

Talking of trade waste and BG lovers.

What do you guys do with the sh1t and chemicals when you powerflush a heating system.

I hope you don't dump it down the drain.

I thought someone would spot that. Yes we do, and yes, we ARE breaking the law by doing so! Anything that leaves your mouth is technically infectious waste.

But it's a tradition so we risk it.

no they just more environmentally friendly chemicals that don't work
They used to use feroquest and moved over to salamander for environmental reasons. So now they are green and rubbish at powerflushing :D still not to worry most of them weren't needed anyway

Wouldn't dream of stealing it, just let it soak into the carpets, amazing how absorbant they are.

       How did we ever manage to get old. well 67 anyway.

Because we know which regs work & which are nonsense. Youngsters today coming to overregulated professions will become paralysed with indecision - nothing will ever get done. And everyone will suffer burst pipes and toothache.

Cant have it all ways, trade waste has to be disposed of properly and we have to "pay" for a waste carriers licence, if we leave it were in trouble if we dont were in trouble, maybe the asssholes who dream up all this legislation would like to sort it.

I love when people jump in with both feet and accuse someone of stealing it has been BG policy for at least 15 years not to leave old parts as has been said it is classed as industrial waste and if customer throws it in bin with BG packaging then BG can be prosecuted and fined heavily.

So NO the guy is NOT STEALING

bg have in there small print that anything they take out belongs to them, well they had it in the small print 5 years ago. as there was an issue with who owend the copper..

You don't expect to get car parts back from garage when you get it repaired so why would you with the boiler?
