British Gas trainees and wages

Yes but that is NOT the engineer side or service and repair arm you know

£111 Million profit comes from sale of gas and all sorts of things.

No its not.

Thats British Gas Services (just the home services bit)

British Gas residential energy= £6 billion turnover £90 million profit (thats the bit that sells gas)

Oh yeh..and the bit that sells gas to business = £1.5 Billion £77 Million profit.

Have a look.

And if you look at the figures for the year before you will see that they are growing at an alarming rate.

I will bet 50p that they don't fold

Hope not . The shares are soaring at present with a £4 target.. Not bad when they only cost 46p when first sold to us... 8) 8) 8) .

related to topic though it may not seem to be!!!

can somebody convert an MS works (.wps) document for me to MS word?

You will find out why i need this done ASAP when you realize what the document is (i havent read it yet as i cant open it!) I will be indebted to the kind person who offers to do this for me.

very desperate, please help.

You might be able to fool the computer by just changing the suffix to become xxx.doc

As far as I know that actual basic programs are virtually identical !

Back to the gas!

time and a fifth was the one that always got me saying no.

When I was a nurse we didn't get any pay for staying over. I stayed to continue saving a life after child had already stopped breathing for 1 minute and I was sat there wishing I had my brown trousers on. Managed to bring him back from the brink of death. I thought this one would justify overtime, so I put in for it.

The manager called me in to her office "you stayed because you wanted to stay". Err like yer, I didn't want to murder the poor kid by just walking out.

Nevertheless I earned more as a nurse than I do now.

Do I get a prize for being the 1000th viewer of this topic? :D

And is the second place prize two years of free BG servicing?

I can do it - just Email me the file.

You are now officially in my debt. First I would like a tub of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream delivered to me in about 10 minutes time. Don't be late as chocolate starvation makes me wild and crazy.

watch yourself bster, owing soft a favour is like owing the cosa nostra a favour, fail him and you may wake up and find a hamsters head in your bed

;)

Mind you would be a killer doing 5 days a week.

It would be more than a killer doing 5 of BG's days! I've never come across times like theirs before & hope I never see them again. I ended up working till 7 & 8 at night just to get the job finished so I could start the next one on time, I even heard of one guy working till 10pm!
Best part about working for BG was telling them to stick their job where there was inadequate ventilation for it.

dear me, what on earth did you do that for? sending jobs back at 4.30pm was a daily routine for me.

i was home most days no later than 5.15, had the odd day where i would get caught out on the last job but that was maybe once a month.
