This makes interesting reading. I wish I could tell you the right thing to do. I started at BG in 1978 and took VR in 97 with a 23K pay off to go and work for myself. Never looked back as I don't work Fridays or weekends, make a decent living and enjoy work far more. I was taught to repair boilers, and at BG at the end was told to more or less lie and say it can't be repaired, noise isn't covered by contract, we don't strip them down just telegan them, etc. Went to fit a divertor on an old combi and we were told the engineer who ordered the part would always get the part back to fit. The previous engineer had put the job in for three wks ahead 2pm in the afternoon when she was at the dentist and wouldn't get the part back to fit. Left the cust no heat and hot water 3 weeks just so they didn't have to go back. Field manager wouldn't ******* her as she was a girl. Put in for VR that day. Divide and conquer.
