BT Broadband got very slow

Why was I downgraded to a fixed line?
Why was the customer not even informed?
Was I accidently switched over at the Exchange?
Because your provider is BT.
Because your provider is BT.
Who knows?

If you choose a cr*p provider, how can you possibly be surprised when you get cr*p service?

have you checked the noise stats in the modem/router.

other than the advice given I would also suggest that you remove the face plate from the master phone box (nte5) and plug into that.

the technical helpdesk should be able to run many tests but sadly they are not always trained to. Bt uses four or five different customer services systems that do not talk to each other. I discovered this after wasting 4 hrs on the phone to them one day and speaking to people in India, canada and various uk call centres.
