Budget

You always know when Reeves and Starmer are lying because their lips are moving AND what they are saying comes over as if they don’t believe what they are saying
the fekking massive liars in politics are Farage and Johnson

they are the ones destroying the country

the black hole left by the Tories was there

The "black hole" has been there since the banking crisis of 2008, when it became fashionable throughout the developed world to print money. We now have a national debt of over 3 trillion pounds. Governments blaming each other for this is like rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic, although it started with Gordon Brown.

it started with Gordon Brown.
Correct.

He was the worst chancellor and PM in history. Sowed the seeds of the idea that you could have free everything and set us on the path to where we are now. It was all fraudulent lies based on borrowing vast amounts and quietly selling the NHS, leaving it so unaffordable to run.

If the Tory/Lib government of 2010 had stripped spending back to where it should have been then Labour would have got re-elected the next time around, as people had got used to borrow-and-spend. So the tories were forced into continuing new-labour's dodgy perpetual borrowing.

It will only be forced to end when the debt becomes absolutely unaffordable. But perhaps there's a chance that Farage may have enough public backing to get the country to take the medicine it desperately needs just before we reach that point. It will be hard though - the BBC will be shoving every needy sob story in front of the cameras and trying to wind the stupid public up, Brexit-style.

Everybody lives off other people’s money, for example disproportionate use of nhs services. Exonerating the right for the credit crisis is barmy.
Just look at pensions as another example.

But nobody is suggesting stopping or cutting them. It's how civilised society works

Utter rubbish. Lots are, you need to step out of your echo chamber now and then. The triple-lock is going to bankrupt the country if it doesn't stop.

Even Labour are beginning to work this out.

But... the current crop of pensioners sadly seem to be very afflicted by entitlement. I don't know why, perhaps it's the modern way but most are pretty selfish and ungrateful. My wartime grandparents' generation lived modestly but comfortably in retirement and just got on with life. My parents' boomer generation seem to feel entitled to a decent car and a couple of foreign holidays a year, all from the tiny amounts of tax and NI they paid for often a shorter time than they'll spend retired. They'll stop voting for whoever stops feeding them more free money, regardless of the impact on their children and grand-children. They're eating their own young.

If you work hard for 40 years, supporting all and sundry through your taxes, I think it's reasonable to expect a pension that will pay your heating bills; especially when your taxes have been spunked on hotel accommodation for illegal immigrants, flat screen TVs and marijuana.

Exactly

You're blaming Nigel Farage for destroying the country?
He's not the one converting the house next door into an HMO for 9 asylum seekers and putting illegal immigrants up in hotels that most of us couldn't even afford to stay in for a week.
I suppose you think he's responsible for the recent murder in Norwich too? I didn't know Nigel was Congolese.

Some should work out how much they've actually paid in vs how much they've taken back in pensions. It's not really sustainable. In reality, current pensioners are kept by the younger generations.

The current pensioners did pay to support the previous pensioners. But back then they didn't live as long and got a lot less to live on and there were more workers per pensioner.

We, as a nation, need a grown-up and honest debate about what's affordable. But this is difficult when people are so utterly selfish and entitled.

And now we need to add Taxi fares to the doctors.

Disagree. Our bloated welfare system is being paid for by good, hard-working people, young and old.
I agree that certain pension schemes aren't sustainable, and that certain professions (train drivers, doctors, etc) have retirement packages that are in no way commensurate with the amount they've paid in taxes, but we have to reduce the amount being spent on welfare for UK citizens and immigrants.
The gap between the workers and the shirkers is paper thin, and that removes the incentive to work.
I resent parasites. We all should.
