Budget

16 billion less in the black hole has to be considered in the context we (the government) are paying 100 billion a year in interest payments alone on bond debts. People leaving the country or cashing in their pensions because of budget leaks did so entirely at their own risk.

There were several things that were unusual, maybe unprecedented.

- Her breakfast address - the economy is weak because of truss, Brexit and the tories, seems to be a lie.
- Her run up leaks - so many ideas were shelved. revaluing 2.4M properties band D+, 1.5M mansion tax.
- the OBR "Leak"

it does feel very much like the aim was to tank the market, so that the markets would respond positively to the better than expected budget.

seems the goal was to take more to pay more, to keep her MPs happy.

Just good old fashioned tax and spend, but hidden behind a veil of bullshit that they thought the dumb plebs wouldn't see through.

They're attempting to pretend that they're not 1970s loony lefties, but that's exactly what they are. They want to take an extra £30bn from everyone every year until there's nothing left. They don't serve the public or even the working classes, and don't care about even trying to make poor people richer, it's all about bribing the scroungers to vote for them.

They're trash. But they'll get away with it, at least this time. I doubt it's enough to bring the government down, at least not when they're able to control the lefty deep state as they do. The tories wouldn't have got away with it.

They're going to get absolutely pasted in the next elections, at least if they don't manage to cancel them all as they appear to be planning.

They need Starmer to hang on until then. After that they'll dump him, then they can get a nice shiny new leader who will have a decent amount of time without any of that democracy stuff getting in the way of their plans to destroy the country.

That's a bold prediction with so much time left yet
, at least if they don't manage to cancel them all as they appear to be planning.
How?

And that's just a load of bunkum
