Can anyone help me, I've been having quite a few problems with my thermecon S60/80 boiler. Yesterday I had new pump fitted and now I can't get the burner to fire up. After pressing the red button it tries to fire but then stops after about 20seconds, there is also a strong (ish) smell of burning.
Is there anything I can check or do??
Many thanks...

Hi.
Bit more information required.
Firstly, why was a new pump fitted and who did it?
Were there problems with the boiler before the pump was fitted?

Which pump has been fitted? The oil pump on the burner or the heating circulating pump?
If the former, get the man back, if the latter, this is not directly related to the new problem. Best get in an oil engineer.
