my mistake! ive just taken the cover off my wiring centre, the grey and orange are swapped compared to the diagram. The grey goes to 10 and orange to 1.
follow the honeywell C plan as D_Halisham has said and put the valve in the HW return after the vent pipe. Worked well for me - has been for over 2 years.
