I'll be helping a friend run a external shielded cat6 cable and one stretch of it needs to run along the rendered hour wall. the house is rendered with those stone pebble type of render. I'm looking for some advice as to which type of nail clips I need that will hammer into this sort of material? Am i looking for a certain type of nail?

Thanks

I used a hot glue gun on a previous property , very coarse pebble on top of existing dashing made mechanical fixing impossible .
(Needs to be a decent high flow rate gun as used by carpet fitters)

Hot melt glue might work; depending on its UV resistance. Hope the cable is proper external grade.

Alternatively I'd suggest using smallish nylon P clips with pan head (stainless) screws and plugs. Would take far longer of course.

Another alternative would be 22 mm plastic conduit and run multiple cheaper internal use ethernet cables - spares are often useful at some point. IF the appearance was acceptable to house owner.

Has high UV resistance and survived 10 years on my south facing wall.
