Cable size and diversity

I have spoken to anther qualifed sparks, a colleague.

He insists that there is no DF on an induction hob, and it will need 10mm. He showed me someinternet searches to support that, but am struggling to find them now.

He needs to go back to sparky school add that’s absolute nonsense

Who is actually doing this work and signing it off?

FWIW I would run 2 cables in for maximum future flexibility

I don’t know yet.
I want to do the first fix, the cables in place. so I can get it sorted quickly between the unit rip out and fitting cabinets. I can then get the finishing done while waiting for the granite worktop and back panels.
I actually meant to phone a guy today to ask to come and quote.

Thanks

The ONLY person to talk to about this is the spark who is going to sign it off and from what you’ve written you need a competent spark, not a colleague who claims to be a spark

Let's be brutally honest.

Does he need it "signed off"? Checked for safety yes, but ...

Then there is the question of what is meant by this mythical 'signing off' process.

Obviously somebody putting their name and signature to the installation. Obviously in this case the OP needs to locate somebody competent

I blame the various committees who come up with this crap and the unnecessarily complicated and often contradictory regulations
