Just had a rewire with a single feed from the consumer unit to the oven of 2.5mm t&e and a 20A mcb and switch plate fitted. Oven is 4.8kw, can this set up handle the oven or is it too small. Cable length is approx 3 metres through ceiling and in wall. Thanks

It's right on the limit for a 20A circuit, but you'll be ok.

At 240 it is, but aren't we supposed to use 230?

Thanks. Electrician said it would be ok but I was not 100% convinced. I have an adjacent hob fed with a 6mm cable- should I get it connected to that via a junction box instead and get the mcb uprated to 45A?
