Just a quick one (ooh err!)

I gave up smoking in 1994 & have battled weight increases ever since!

How's your weight going - gone up at all?

Hi SS

As you will see its now 45 weeks without the dreaded weed. :D

On the downside I have put on around 1 stone and from day one of giving up I have been waking up at around 3 every morning!!!!! :( It seems to take hours to get back off too and is very annoying!

Dr has given me lots of pills but to no avail and he is stumped. Might go back to smoking I think to get a good nights sleep.

Noooooo!!!

I sometimes have trouble nodding off & the kids wake me up every now and then. And I've put on loads of weight!!!

But I still wouldn't go back there, no sir-eee!!

Arrrrgh Just one fag now will get you back ona pack a day in no time. Thats how I started again way back in 1994 after 3 yrs... Took me till now to get into frame of mind to pack up properly and not had one since july 07. It was a torment packing up for 2 weeks several times a yr then saying oh just one wont hurt. Have to say that my chest condition helped a lot in my stopping  hope you dont have to get to that stage. Just enjoy the cough free mornings m8. And! the bonus of not having to buy fags from your local nicotine dealing co-op
ps hmmm my clothes have all shrunk.. :o

Yeah, me too... I'm currently 18 stone 1 lb, having started November 2008 at 20 stone exactly.

But I was 14 stone in 1994....

Ha, bl00dy ha!

I am eating less, far less. I don't drink alcohol at all now & I'm exercising 6 days out of 7 for at least 30 mins each time, sometimes an hour.

And I can't bust the 18 stone barrier. Work that one out.

Maybe your diet is wrong for you. My wife have got this book and it's interesting, it's not about diet, it's about more a way of eating. Like all these diet books but this one talks a lots common sense explaining why others diet do not works

The slimming pills manufacturers are trying to banned this book because it's a success without needing to have pills

You're still eating too much or too many calories..Fact

I'm not an food expert but my wife eat less calories than I do and yet I can lose weight easily, I'm guessing wrong type of food or we are all made difference(?)

To lose weight you have to follow a strict calorie controlled diet and not just hope for the best. :)

Might look into it too.

women typically need less calories than men anyway, so just because she's only eating 1900 and you're eating 2000, she's only 100 under what they recommend, whereas you're 500 under..
