The conservatives are about a small state and low tax for all, it's about encouraging growth and people looking after each other.
Labour are about big state and high tax for the rich, it's about spreading wealth and the state looking after people.
The problem with both of them at the moment, is they don't stick to their main ethos, and have a hodge podge muddle of policies, you could say both or neither are to blame depending who you support.
