Can anyone recomend a sealer for a leaking towel rail?

I have a leak in one of the joints in my towel rail. I don't think it is corroded; it just looks like the weld was botched when the thing was made and it has now developed a very small crack in it. The warranty has just expired (typical) and I don't particularly want to buy a new one.

Can anyone recommend anything I might be able to stick on the outside of it to seal the thing? I tried soldering it but I can't get the solder to stick. I see screwfix.com do something called "No Nonsense External Leak Sealer" does anyone know if this is any good? Does this work with pressurised systems? Does it stick to chrome?

I am afraid your only option is to replace the towel rail. Nothing I know of ever works on a pressurised system not to mention chrome finish.

Do not be tempted to add a leak sealer to your heating system as they usually end up blocking the heat exchanger and other components.

Fluffster is correct - replace the towel warmer.

Until then just shut off its valves to stop it leaking.
