I've done a search for "PIR" and there are no recommendation threads for the last 2 years, so perhaps it's time to ask again. Technology changes so rapidly...

Is there a common internal wired PIR detector that is recommended? I'd like to exclude pet tolerant varieties. Other than that, there's no particular onerous requirement. Normal room, no roaring fires, no looking out of the window, no elephant sized dogs etc. Just a regular go to sensor on a wire?

Does the RX40 still click everytime it senses movement, or was it the FX50? I remember changing these when we used to install them as the clicking used to drive customers mad, never installed since.
