Continuity of protective conductors
Ring final circuit continuity
Insulation resistance
Polarity (dead)
Polarity (live - confirm after energising.
'Lectrode (if applicable and if using a loop tester))
Earth eault loop impedance
Devices - incluidng RCD and functional switching
Isn't it

Continuity of cpc and bonding conductors
Ring final continuity
I.R test
Polarity dead test
Polarity live test
Loop impedance test, Ze and Zs
Earth fault and PSC fault current
RCD & other functional tests

??

You need to go on a course, mate! :D
Maybe I will.

I remember it as:
C -Continuity of protective conductors
R - Continuity of ring
I - Insulation Res
P - Pol dead
P - Pol live
E - Efli
P - PFC
F - Functional testing (in RCDs)

continuity of protective conductors, cpc's of radials and all bonding
continuity of ring final circuits
insulation resistance
electrical seperation
site applied insulation
polarity
earth electrode
earth fault loop impedance Zs & Ze
Prospective fault current PeFC and PSCC
Phase rotation
functional testing
RCD testing
volt drop other than initial verification (assuming the designer got it right)

Please, if you are a builder or DIY'r get a competent sparks to do the work and save yourself lots of grief and possible electrocution or fire

just because your confident, doesn't mean you know what your doing
it only takes 50mA thats 0.05amps to kill people, a typical 13A fuse will allow 13,000mA to flow all day every day fore ever, this will never save anyone from electric shock, the lowest known voltage to kill someone was just 50 volts, please take care

Welcome to the forum ...
(1)... if that is your view, what on earth are you doing joining and participating in a DIY Electrics forum?
(2)...Why are you responding to a 4+ year-old message?

Kind Regards, John

Back in the day 14th edition it was

P polarity
E earthing
I insulation
C continuity

Wheres securespark :)

They also taught us SOHCAHTOA if anyone recalls that one

And the resistor thing ends "Violet Gets Wed"

My brother in law learnt a few naughty ones when he was training as an optometrist.

They seemed to mention words that rhymed with runt a lot!!
There was a young lady from Bude,
Who went for a swim in the lake.
A man in a punt
Stuck his pole in her ear,
And said "You can't swim here it's private".

I'm here... ;)

Yeah, that's how I was taught it by my boss.

Just thinking what fun it would be to go back to the 14th now...

VIR on a 3036 fed from a TT supply with a VO ELCB, anyone? ;)
