Cavity tray above airbricks? Bifold above

I am building a level threshold for my bifold on my extension, having an air brick Telescopic vent just below dpc, would clash with the insulation on my block and beam floor. My architect has detail a cavity tray above the air brick, even though there’s a bifold directly above it? Is this required?

I'm not understanding why a cavity tray would be required below a door cill -is it a radon gas barrier?

Usually air bricks arent fitted below door openings -although I realise it can be tricky with large bifolds which make it impossible to have air bricks at the recommended 2m spacing.

when I can actually get hold of him I will ask if it is a radon gas barrier, I’m in the south east, I’m not sure whether I’m in a radon gas area or if it’s required.

yeah my rear wall is 6.3 m long and my bifold is 4m long. So they’ll have to go under, also works out that I’ll need 3 air bricks, so one dead centre ish.

can I bridge the cavity with dpm, insulation and screed? For my level threshold? Like so...
