Ceiling light wiring

Following Sunray’s original suggestion (as per the first picture) of one of the disconnected black wires to neutral and the other disconnected black wire to the live on the light was unsuccessful with the first combination but successful with the second.
All lights working. Nothing tripping.
From the above can someone please confirm all ok or is possible to have the above condition but still not be correct? I’d appreciate feedback for peace of mind and thanks for all feedback to date

Should be ok now, what did you do first combination just guess?
It tripped the first time I take it?
