Ceiling rose problem

open up the wall switch take out the black one of the blacks with a glow should go deadthis is the switched live put this black in with the brown of the fitting then put switch back together other two blacks to the blue (neutral) of the light fitting. nearly there promise

Both still glow after removing black from kitchen switch.

One other light downstairs in hall, if that helps.

well the other end must glow up at the light fitting then, pull out this black at the switch then the other end must go dead up at the ceiling

Not 100% clear.

I've taken black out of kitchen switch, and all three blacks are seperate in ceiling, with all reds connected.

Black and red both still glow at swicth. two of three blacks glow in kitchen ceiling.

with blacks seperate at ceiling and black out of its terminal in kitchen switch it must be dead (no glow) if the earths are connected touch the metal back box of the swich or the earth cable then touch screwdriver onto the red and then black you should only see a glow on the red or you should notice the glow on the black is weaker. this is what i meant about an induced glow earlier

off to bed now on tomorro after work post then i will help sort it once and forall

Cheers..

So am I doing this at the switch, not the ceiling? Wasn't totally clear.

OK tried it at the switch and yes you're right, when I touch the earth then I get no glow on black.
