Changed socket and now no power

There are no RCDs on a standard 1106. Unless they are stand alone global ones on the tails.

Indeed, when RCDs started to become a little bit familiar (some folk had plug in "powerbreaker" adaptors for things outside - mowing the lawn) and had started to appreciate the possible safety aspects of an RCD, a DP RCD was available in its own housing and was used just after the fuseway outgoing from a rewireable consumer unit for just one circuit or prior the tails for "front end" protection.
It was a while before the advent of the "Mainswitch" on a consumer unit being a RCD, being front end.
Then the RCD evolution started a bit later.
RCBOs were a long time coming (and very expensive).
The 70s then 80s then 90s was a time of change,
I started my apprenticeship, and finished it in the early to mid 70s .
The 14th Edition of the Regs was the "New Kid on the block" for long enough and BS7671 was a long way of being thought of.

70s music was the best too, closely followed by the 60s.

Perhaps I am biased though, proper swearing was almost unheard of until the shock of working in a factory and drugs were almost unheard of too 2 or 3 you knew who they were and the kept themselves to themselves.

I remember a metalclad version of the Standard board with a WSES 63/2 RCCB as a main switch being around in the very early 80s. Ian Kenworthy, who was head of Technical at Wylex in Wythenshawe for as long as I could remember, reckoned that dated back to 1974.
I can't be certain, but if anyone would know, Ian would.

very early 1980' (I can say with certainty as I was tempted to use them in my home rewired 82/83) and possibly late 70's I removed a number of metal Wylex boards of this style:

and replaced with the plastic versions. On that basis I reckon they may have been prior to 1974

However off the top of my head I struggle to recall seeing a plastic Wylex with a RCD.
