I am buying a chest freezer to put into my garage, install in garage is a 10mm SWA from 40amp breaker in house CU running 32m to a 2way RCD CU in the garage with 32amp MCB supplying sockets and 6amp mcb supllying lighting.

The CU in the garage is not a split load board it is all covered by RCD, will it be ok to put the freezer on the this setup or will it be prone to nuicance tripping?

Thanks

it would be preferable to have the freezer not RCD protected, and not suppled by a socket but via an FCU (otherwise someone will plug the lawnmower into the freezer socket one day)

As the freezer is not in the house you will not be aware when it trips and the food goes rotten.
