Chipboard Flooring

Hi everybody, was hoping somebody could confirm for me,

I currently have taken up my kitchen floor due to an excessive water leak previously, the floor that was down was t & g chipboard flooring,

I have been to purchase some normal 18mm chipboard cut to size by the local DIY store, just a quick confirmation that normal chipboard not t&g will be suitable to use?

For kitchens, you ideally need the P5 grade moisture-resistant chipboard.

Also, if it is not t&g, you will need to put noggins between the joists to support the edges of the sheets.

Well even t&g chipboard is poor quality flooring so chipboard without is even worse and it takes more effort to put down.
