The pasty was originally created for tin miners, it was to provide meat and two veg and be able to withstand the rigors of a dark damp mine shaft so you see it would be perfect for what you have in mind.

From the last Sunday in March until the last Sunday in October the UK moves its clocks forward from Greenwich Mean Time by one hour (GMT+1). This is known as British Summer Time or BST for short.
