Hi,
I was considering putting in a megaflow 210 plus greenstar 40 cdi, but am now having second thoughts due to the cost....

Is one of the larger combi's going to be suitable?? We have 3 bathrooms, but are never likely to have more than 2 bathrooms showering at the same time.....

Thoughts appreciated!

whats the water main supply like

IMHO any combi is totally inappropriate for your large house

5 bar....

Part of the problem is that my brother in law is comfortable fitting a combi (done many a time - with corgi sign off afterwards) but not a Megaflo.

IS there an awful lot more to it?

If we get him to install the boiler first and then a qualified plumber to connect up the tank, how many hours/days should we expect to pay for?

Well ONE he is breaking the law fitting aboiler for you when he is not Registered

and so is the RGI who will sign it off

but if he dont care about that then why would he get fussed about G3 of the building regs?

I give up I really do.

5 bar means nothing - the flow rate is the important thing.

If your brother-in-law is comfortable fitting combi's why not ask him which boiler to install.
