Hi, I need to replace the temp sensor and the overheat thermo which are located within the combustion chamber on my cb24x. I have removed the cover screws and found it difficult to remove the cover, I didn't want to force it, anything I need to know? Also do I need to repressurise the system other than with the mains inlet? Cheers.

Yes, you need to know you shouldnt remove the CC cover unless you know how to check it correctly afterwards.

the seals are stuck on.

wedge your screwdriver in the corners and lever it open.

had one like this a few months ago. ALL the CC seals fell apart when the cover finally came off. Boiler not safe to use therefore until I got new seals. :x

thats happened to me once as well. poor design with the seals going right down the side, rips them off over time.
