A lot of people agree she was treated summarily by Khan but also agree she was long overdue for dismissal - the Met has become a bad joke and revelations the officer in charge of the Met's drug strategy smoked cannabis daily don't help restore their ragged reputation.

Unless there is an allegation giving her a claim for uncapped damages, she has already received more than the statutory cap for claims of unfair dismissal via constructive dismissal. Its a bit of a stretch to argue it was dismissal based on protected characteristics.

The met discipline is a joke, its almost impossible to get fired. I know of officers who have committed assaults, theft, fraud etc who are suspended on full pay for many years or pushed from desk job to desk job. I know of an officer who was done for using the riot van for his Costco run rather than renting his own. He was in full uniform loading up the van with white goods and stuff for his private business. He was suspended on full pay and given another job. A private sector employer would have fired him for theft or misuse of company property.
