Concrete cavity fill (225mm below dpc) question?

Hi Guys,

I will be filling my cavity as per title over the weekend prior to backfilling and compacting the ground.

I know i need to use 8 part balast to 1 part cement gfor the mix...but i have read conflicting messages about the consistency of the mix....should it be wet or dry?

Also i have bridging at 2 sections (water and electric services)...how do i stop the concrete running out of the opening under the lintel.....(my dpc level is 1500mm to the concrete foundation in some places).

Wet or dry it don't matter.

Dirt, rag, polystyrene to plug the hole. That don't matter either.
