Hi,
I am trying to sort out my garage floor and have come across some areas which are really crumbly... I can scrape with a chisel and it just turns to dust. It seems to be the worst in an area which I think is much older than the rest but there are other areas too. I don't think there is a DPM under the slab so I was thinking to lay one on top and pour another 3 inch slab on top (to stop ground water from wicking up). But figured I probably need to sort these areas out first. I'll try to upload a video to show what I have going on.
Is there an easy fix for this? can I just chase out all the "sandy" areas and fill?
Any tips welcome
