I have noticed some condensation in my loft space. Its the far end by the outside wall.

It seems to only affect one side of the loft.

The roof looks in reasonable condition. My best guess is it is not leaking.

There is an old chimney on that side which was capped off inside the loft space.

We have had cavity wall insulation.

Any ideas what would be a cost effective solution?

Thanks

Any ventilation in the loft helps, make sure the insulation is pulled back from the eaves.
Fit them front and back.

Is the condensation on the part of the roof that gets no sun?

Is there a path for warm damp air to rise up from the house, such as holes in the ceiling or a gappy loft hatch?

Where does the bathroom extractor fan vent to?

Is wet washing dried indoors?

Hi

Sorry didnt see the replies.

Its the north facing aspect of the roof.

There is a hatch from the loft room that accesses thst side as well as the southern aspect which is fine.

The bathroom vents outside and we don't dry clothes nearby.

Thanks

Matt
