Before you put the conduit down run 4 mm single core cable through it ….

I had originally thought of puting in a cable for maybe garden lights at some stage. Just a small light to light up a pathway.
What cable could i use in the conduit to do this?

Would 2.5 twin and earth be over kill?

It depends on what lights you have in mind, mains lights, or extra low voltage ones?

ELV ones would be safer...

If you are running mains out there, it will need adequate protection. Armoured might be one way.
