Connecting waterbutts together at the bottom

You need to be able to access the right down the inside of the water butt, usually doable, but not with the Garantia urn style one
My method uses the manufacturers threaded positions, don't need to get inside at all

Capacity if tops are not level:

A friend has multiple butts covering every rainwater down pipe and linked via underground pipe, mostly 22mm triwall pushfit pipe and fittings. At each butt he has a Tee and a tap and a couple of additional standpipes by the vegetable plot:

The point is the water will be the same level in both butts, so the taller will not fill to higher than the top of the lower. You will of course have to put the tap in the lowest point ie in the bottom of the tallest butt.
Surely if they are all connected and sitting on the ground, the tap can be put in the bottom of any butt?

Well yes they can but why have a butt that can never completely fill like the one on the right?

Surely better like this so both can completely fill:

This willof course work too but it means cutting an extra hole in one butt:

Or this:

Filling into one butt and overflowing into the second but it does mean having a tap on each butt.
