Last time I checked, admittedly that was when corgi still ran the register, it was a specification of the body that you needed the qualification to comply with the building regs.

If the Building Regulations state that you "need" a qualification, then you won't have any difficulty in quoting the section number that contains that statement.

Well, I don't know how to comply with building regs without having a ee qualification. That is why I spent my time and money on getting one.
So now I have a registration number, AND an ee qualification, and that is how I can commission boilers.

Why don't you tell us how YOU commission them WITHOUT holding an ee qualification?
