I am looking at buying a Neff single oven and induction hob to be installed in a rented property. These will replace the Belling double oven with 4 hot plates currently wired in by the landlord.
What concerns me is whether the current RCD/MCB arrangement will support the new installation or if new ciruits/board are required (ie a landlord activity).
Facts are that;
the new oven is rated as 3.68kW total connected load,
the hob is rated at 8.85kW max,
the cooker control box has an integrated 3pin (13amp) socket.
Adding up all the Belling power rates totals 11.6kw.
Not sure how to read the RCD/ MCB box but one section is labelled "Main Switch" inscribed as 100A and with 3 circuits, one inscribed as B16 and two as B6. The other section is labelled "RCD Protected Circuits" and is inscribed as 80A with 3 circuits each inscribed as B32.
Can I get the new equipment wired in without involving the landlord in extra wiring/"fuse box" work??
