First thanks for all the help previously given on various topics. I intend installing a cooker hood above the cooker (Baumatic Hood) and would like some advice on how to connect it, my sparky is calling around next week to give me a price for changing wiring layout and consummer unit to a more modern piece of equipment without seeing the layout he has suggested taking a supply off the lighting circuit and this would mean a lot of work and mess if he followed his suggestion. Is it possible to spur of the cooker control switch (10mm wiring protected by 45ma breaker) to a fcu of lesser amp (6amp) and then to hood.
