Does anyone know if there is an IEE reg about the maximum distance between cooker and red isolation switch?

Thanks, can it be fitted into a cupboard next to the cooker? or does it have to be external mounted?

Split opinion.

Some like to make the wall less cluttered and fit the switch in a unit, while others believe they must be visible.

Arms reach is good.

It's generally known to be bad practise to hide away isolating switches in adjacent cupboards. If you can, you should mount it above the worktop, though no regulations actually exist.
