Coping with pain

No, i havent got any. I mentioned the bad back pain that has been worse over the last 2 weeks to doc today but he didnt give me anything....

Only the Pregabolin for the burning nerve pain...
I think some doctors are paranoid about addiction.
I found tram helps for the burning nerve pain more than it does for the stabbing one.

Gabapentin and Pregabalin are almost the same, I was told. Pfizer produced the pregab just to get some market share. They tweaked the molecule, so it takes less mg for the same effect.
With Gaba you can take a much higher dose than is usually prescribed, I take 3 - 3.6 g/day. You can probably do similar with P - see the sheet.

I started taking Gaba when it first came out, pre 2000 sometime. It's more times per day which is a bit of a nuisance, I should switch. I'm never sure if it's doing much, plus the side effect is feeling generally sh1t. P was produced later.

Thr Tramadol helps, not a complete fix for nerve pain. I get sciaticas in my legs, it dulls that right back.
I'd post you some but that's probably frowned on...

I can see why you are such a miserable **** now with all the medication you are mixing it's clearly not good for your mental health I would have thought with the tens of thousands you make weekly you would have paid private instead of suffering in pain waiting on NHS. And read what you put after you spoke about co codomal and what it can be freely mixed with
You obviously know what it's like to have mental health problems, we all see the evidence.
You post simply to demonstrate what an arse you like to be.

There isn't a private A & E. Didn't you know?

Thousands a day, quite often, not a week - Told you before. Today I saw a post by @motorbiking , which reminded me he's holding Oracle and their results were out today. I put 5 figs on it and it went up 24%. 160 odd % on the year to date.

It makes no difference to what treatnment you get, except you get more malpractice privately, and more incompetence on the NHS. Often it's the same people in the same facility, just quicker. They ask YOU if early this afternoon would be convenient for your MRI scan. And you get filter coffee and choccy bikkies. And a colleague who migt be able to help further...

I guess different docs have different preferences to which drugs they lean towards...

People who have never really suffered dont understand how desperate a person can get to try anything to relieve chronic pain. Some, take the extremely drastic approach of taking their own lives....i admit, this has crossed my mind 1,000s of times over the years. I wouldnt do such a thing but it still doesnt stop me from thinking about it. Especially when i am in the deep depths of despair at dark times

I understand very well. Hence the bottle of morphine, and the scotch I hardly ever drink.
Most of us have the option of going through life if we enjoy it or stopping it if we don't. Whatever we decide, doesn't matter. Nothing "matters" ultimately. Nobody's there to say what's right or wrong.
We're a biological machine which has evolved survival mechanisms, which include what we call feelings for others. Humans complicate it with primitive ideas which are biased towards survival.
You have the free choice, others will understand whatever you do, unless they're selfish and self-centred.
Look up "naturalism" as a philosophy.
If you have some sort of faith, then that would be different, I can't comment.

I have very strong faith. I am a Catholic. Through it all, my faith is and has always been strong.......i try to offer up my suffering for others. Its not easy though.

A man who thinks he's a dog seeks redemption through suffering.

You'd keep a team of psychiatrists busy for many years.

No, there doesn't need to be anything real behind it.

It's a fad that had been dug up dozens of times through history, found wanting and then abandoned.

If it worked it would be possible to demonstrate it, and you can, until you factor in the placebo effect. Then it disappears.

But let's not ruin the thread, I'm going to drop this here.
You can demonstrate it and it's been demonstrated.
Unfortunately it is a cheap drug free treatment which doesn't benefit the pharmaceutical industry.
Similarly to ozone-oxygen therapy that I have tried and it was a miracle: unfortunately it's cheap and drug free.
Doctors performing it were being hunted down here and abroad.
If you want I tell you the full story.
