Hi. I was looking to purchase a cordless vacuum for my bedroom etc. Would you guys say this is a decent one for the price? Bare in mind not looking to spend a ridiculous amount. Maximum price willing to spend is £90.

Also is corded better than cordless? Have never owned cordless but looking for a change as have been through 2 corded cycliner vacuums and both went faulty.

Corded are always more capable, than cordless which have limited power. Cordless though, are handy to have, quicker to use.

Was thinking the same.

Would you say the attached link I added above is a decent option to go for?

The cordless require emptying at almost every use , so not as quick or convenient as you may think .

We have a similar dyson model which is fine for upstairs use here (3 beds and bathroom). You spend most of your time in bed so shouldn't need much vacuuming.

Thats true. I have ocd of cleaning. I have to vacuum frequently so I think cordless would benefit me.

Most likely will just get the cordless, reviews seem good etc.

Am a convert to cordless having got a second hand Dyson. Very powerful on full power and lasts long enough to do carpets in a couple of rooms. But its real strength is that it complements a powered hoover. It is used for one off jobs and the car. Takes hours to charge, rather than minutes so gets topped up.

We have several, around the place....

A corded upstairs, one down, and a cordless Dyson in the under stair cupboard, on the wall, on charge ready to use, plus a big Henry in the workshop, for the rough. That was being chucked out, where Av works, nowt wrong with it.

The Dyson is handy for cleaning the odd spill up, but the Dyson corded comes out for the more serious cleaning.

I have had various hand held cordless vacuum cleaners, great for the stairs, but for anything else, all been hopeless, when the government restricted the power for vacuum cleaners, it doubled the time to clean, but we have found as long as one does not need to spend time behind the vacuum cleaner, that does not matter so much, so we have tried using cordless

and they clean OK, but get tangled up with anything left on the floor, and the cats don't like them.

For the longest time i have been using a 20yr old corded Samsung vacuum. It gets the job done, but it is super clunky, it is not very maneuverable, loud, and does not have that much power.

At the start of the month, i have decided to upgrade my vacuum cleaner and went for Xaomi cordless vacuum, as it was for sale. Im super happy with it, as it is super maneuverable and can easily go around furniture to reach hard to reach places. It is also quite quiet. With the charged battery, I can vacuum around 50m2. It has 2 power modes, so if you use the more powerful mode, the battery goes out faster. (The battery takes around 5 hours to recharge). And yes, you need to empty the rubbish container every time, but it is super simple and takes a minute to do so. Only negative thing would be that it could have a bit more power, and it is a bit heavy, so if you are vacuuming for an hour, your hand might get tired.

As someone has mentioned a Dyson vacuum, i have heard that they tend to break and are unreliable for such a price.

2x corded Miele vacuum, 1 for upstairs and downstairs general tasks and one older one for doing the cars and anything else, even DIY work.

Plus an irobot vacuum which lives downstairs and can do the entire downstairs vacuuming, we find it brilliant it works really well even on carpets and hard floors and repairs and replacement parts are already available for it. Expensive to buy initially though but I would buy another one in future.

Have had a couple of the Dyson cordless vacs and they fill up very quickly with dust and the battery doesn't last long and also had quite a few breakdowns on them as well so I won't bother with them in future.

One of the very best vacuum/mop machines I have ever used is the Vorwerk Kobold, it can mop your hard floors it can vacuum your floors, it comes apart with various accessories and is excellent for vacuuming the car and getting into any crevices, I think this is quite expensive to buy however but if you have vacuuming OCD as you say it might be the one for you.

Something wrong with the description in that link it says it runs for an hour and its 550w??
assuming its 18v battery with say a 5ah battery [90wh ]you would run out in perhaps 8-10 mins ?
