cost to have wiring checked

Hi,
can anyone give me a rough idea please of the cost to have some work checked and certificated.Its a 9.5kw shower,the shower is wired up and the shower switch too,just needs to be connected to the cu.
10mm cable used,is a 40amp mcb ok or does it have to be an rcd.

45 amp mcb or rcbo would be better.

They may do it if they can inspect the cable run, otherwise not likely.
