These wire crimps are insulation displacement crimps. The bite through the insulation and make a permanent connection. Just push two wires into the two holes, squeeze the crimp head with pliers. They also have silicone gel that keeps moisture out.

The only down side is the holes are side by side. But you only have 10 wires so it shouldn't be too bulky.
 
I could have driven to London and repaired this cable fifty times over in the time you've been faffing about trying to avoid repairing it properly. :rolleyes:

Another downside is they do not work reliably on multi-stranded wire. Thy are designed to work on solid ( single strand ) wire.
