I am refitting my kitchen which involves moving all the bottom units out so I can tile underneath. No problems there. As the units and the worktop will now be raised slightly, I will have to cut away the bottom part of the wall tiles which join the bottom and top units.

How can I do this?

You could score the glaze using a long straight edge, and gently chisel off the portion you don't want.

Or you could use a dremel or similar.

Or you could take off the bottom row of tiles and redo them after the worktop is securely in place (this would be my favourite).

Thanks for the tips.

I thought of using a Dremel, so when the tiles needed cutting, I used my 9" angle grinder - it worked a treat! Thanks for confirming what I thought!
