I'm fitting a shower pump and have decided to use a warix flange. (please don't try to convince me to use an essex flange, with my luck I'll droop the first half dozen into the cylinder  ).

I'm also fairly happy about what I connect where..

My problem is that on coming to order the flange there are several options

either Male or female 3/4" or 1".

Is there any way of telling what size is needed?

there is currently a male thread to a compression fitting holding the pipe. this thread has an oversized nut at the bottom which looks like it has been screwed into another thread on the tank (can't see for foam)

I don't really want to drain down the cold water and disconnect it before starting the job over easter but need to order the part asap.

I hope there is a cunning plumber trick to find this out.

if people need a photo I could stick one somewhere

Cylinder tappings are usually female, so you'll need a male Warix. Only you can tell what size the tapping is!
