Damp in corner of kitchen floor (Victorian terrace)

No need for any camera - so far no signs of leaking drainage.
Your, probably, salt glaze gulley hopper was set at the original ground level - the GL has since been raised, & is possibly contributing to your damp issues.

Quick update - installed a French drain outside last weekend; and removed all appliances from the kitchen and hacked plaster off the wall in the affected spot this weekend. Wall appears to be a little drier already with dry salt beginning to form on some of the bricks which were previously sodden.

Will wait and see if it dries out now. I’ve got plenty to keep me occupied in the meantime (pulling down all the lathe and plaster ceilings upstairs to replace ceiling joists… dreadful!!!).
