Danfoss 103 to Hive change

Hi,

I have a Danfoss 103 timer, which is on my Vailliant VCW GB 242 E combi boiler.

I want to switch the Danfoss 103 to a Hive thermostat, should I get the single channel one?

There are 6 wires in total currently going into the Danfoss 103, please see the photo. How should I wire these into the Hive please?

Yep single channel, and any existing thermostat join switch wires, set to maximum or decommission, but you’ll need to alter some wiring.

6 to L
5 to N
Earth to earth
3 to Com (1)
1 to Heating on (3)

I will order the Hive thermostat now, and update once I receive it and wire it up

I am determined to keep my boiler, 33 years old (1991) and going strong lol

Installed the hive today and its working a treat. Its good for another 33 years now haha
