Hello all , i have a problem regarding lifting deck boards , i need to access a leaking drain underneath but when i tried to unscrew the deckboards the heads of the screws just break off .
My question is this do you know of a drill bit that i could drill whats left of the screw out with , or maybe another way of lifting the boards .
cheers . mark

You'll just have to break the heads off then use a bar and brute force.

easiest way is to whack them through as far as you can with a punch and then as joe says, with a pry bar and brute force, or saw them

Cheers for replies , i did get one up with good old brute force but i had to lever off the other deck boards causing alittle bit of damage , also you tend to make the holes bigger where you pry over the screws .
Guess i just have to put fatter screws in cheers mark .
