Hi all
I've had a quote for composite decking today. £1500 for an area 7m x 2m

Does that sound like a reasonable price ?

Also, I've asked for a price for a path laying down to the decking

He gave me an extortionate price for Indian stone and then £450 for 2x2 concrete

The path will probably be 8m or so long, wouldn't mind doing it myself but not sure how easy? It's running down on a slope, any suggestions? Added a few flags to existing patio but no expert.

Also any cheap but nicer alternatives to 2x2?

Thanks :)

Thank you
I had seen something similar to that grid - I'm not sure I wanted stones down, but it's a possible option I'll look into

I'll have a look at that decking too

Any more ideas anyone ?

Laying paving is not rocket science, especially a path if flags laid on mortar, that is probably the easiest of them all.

Cost wise there is very little between basic concrete and indian sandstone or limestone. Most of the fancy imitation stone concrete flags are actually more expensive than indian real stone.

Block paving falls in the middle but is laid differently.

Loads of solid advice for laying all types on pavingexpert. Com
