I've got some cans of diesel, they are in the US military jerry can. I don't know the exact time thay have been there, but I imagine it cannot be more than a year. Would it be safe to use? And not clog up my engine..

It if is not then, could I get it cleaned domestically...?

It'll be fine, there can be a problem with petrol, but diesel should be ok. I guess as stated, just watch out for any accumulated crud in the can.

Lets think, its been under the ground for twenty million years ..... I recon another week or two won't harm it.

You can get fuel stabilizers to add to your spares ...... But i'd just suggest using them & refilling every six months :?

if you're worried about bits from the cans you could filter through a j cloth! odd bits should be stopped by your car's fuel filter in any case though

make sure it's not rebated fuel such as red d. or kerosene
