Distance between BS1363 Sockets and Data points?

That raises another question though,
Does it?

even though data, aerial/satellite coax, alarm cables, telephone cables, etc... cables are PVC insulated, what are they officially rated at from a voltage perspective?
What difference does it make?

Isn't that the whole point of having to make sure they are protected - from the 240V or higher?

I'm a bit confused at what point your exactly getting at.

That the insulation on data cables are in effect rated at => 230v, that the separation needs to be 150mm, that one should buy Data/TV Coax cables rated for the same voltages as mains band II cables (if you even can?), something else...?

Why are you having such trouble with reading and understanding this?

7.4.1
Band I circuits must not be contained within the same wiring system as Band II circuits unless
(a) every cable is insulated for the highest voltage present.

There it ends as data cable is PE insulated which is +1000 VA AC resistant.

Ensure that is the case and forget about anything else.

And that's my exact point, is the PE insulation (or HDPE in my case) on data cable officially rated at 1000V AC???

What will the highest voltage present be?
"(a) every cable is insulated for the highest voltage present."

on single phase will be 240AC divide by square root of 2 to give the DC max voltage of 440V, would that qualify ???
